Maharashtrian Poori is a Indian bread from the Maharashtra region . Herbs and spices are added to make this melt in the mouth spiced poori .

  1. Place oil to heat .
  2. Take a mixing bowl and add the wheat flour .
  3. Add turmeric powder and salt .
  4. Add grated onion and chilly , coriander paste .
  5. Mix well with hands .
  6. Gradually adding water bind the dough .
  7. Drizzle a tbsp of oil and knead the dough till smooth and pliable .
  8. Pinch out a lemon size ball and roll into a disc of about 4” .
  9. Deep fry the poori turning once , till nice and golden .
  10. Similarly make other pooris .
