Chia seeds are high in quality protein, much higher than most plant foods. Despite their tiny size they are among the most nutritious foods which are absolutely flavourless so you can add a tablespoon to any food you wish to without altering its flavor. Unlike flax seed , we need not grind these in order to absorb all the nutrients.
Here are some vegan truffles that I made with all healthy ingredients like dates , nuts and chia seeds . I saw the recipe perhaps on FB or Pinterest , I really can’t remember but I remember it was by Jagruti . I wish I could give her a feed back on these . These are one of the best truffles I have had . I ate one every day after my workout and did’nt need any breakfast. They kept me full for nearly two hours.
They are perfect after a work out to give you that energy . Chia seeds rank among the top plant based protein sources. This is another reason this super seed is great to consume for those trying to put on lean muscle, burn fat and balance blood sugar levels, so go ahead and try these super Protein Rich truffles.
Mocha Chia Seeds Truffles
Ingredients
1 cup pitted dates , I used mejdool , though you can use other varieties too
3/4 cup mixed nuts ( walnuts , almonds , pistachio )
3 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp coffee powder
3+1 tbsp cocoa powder
1tbsp icing sugar
Method
Add all nuts to a food processor and process till powdered .
Add the chopped , pitted dates , coffee and 3 tbsp of cocoa and blend till a sticky dough is made.
Make tiny balls and roll into cocoa powder.
Let set and after an hour dust some icing sugar.
Store in an airtight container.

These energy bites look so good. I made a no bake brownie bite similar to this. Next time will try adding chia to it to oomph the protein factor.
Never tried anything other than pudding with chia seeds, truffles sounds just prefect to make soon to sneak this protein rich seeds without any fuss. Want to munch some.
