For Day 2 under Special Themes I am posting recipes from my Andhra Thali. Yesterday it was Nutty Karela Crisps. For today I have a delicious curry with drumsticks.

We all know that drumsticks are loaded with healthy proteins and essential minerals making it a healthy food. Being high in calcium, iron and other vitamins, drumsticks help in strengthening bones. They help to lower the blood sugar level , eases respiratory problems. Also ,they are very good for pregnant ladies .

Today’s drumstick curry is a rich curry with cashew and poppy seed gravy . Serve it either with rice or chapati , though I like to eat a bowl of this without any accompaniment.

  1. We use drumstick in almost every gravy in our home and love the flavor it brings to the curry. But never tried this kind of masala with drumstick, interesting recipe. Must to try.
