Orange Upside Down Cake is a cake made with oranges and chocolate cake batter . The caramelized oranges are the highlight of the cake .

  1. In a nonstick pan heat sugar.
  2. Let dissolve , add butter .
  3. Let the sugar turn golden , keep stirring to get a uniform colour .
  4. Pour the caramelised sugar into the baking tin and arrange the orange slices .
  5. Keep the tin aside .
Cake
  1. Sieve the dry ingredients.
  2. Warm the water and add sugar , add oil and mix.
  3. Let the water come to room temperature.
  4. Mix the ingredients into the wet.
  5. Mix well to make a smooth batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared mould.
  7. Bake at 180 deg C for35 to 40 minutes or until screwer comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool.
  9. Flip over the cake and serve.
