  2. Combine all the batter ingredients along with ½ cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well. Keep aside.
  3. Cut the paneer into thick rectangular pieces , making a slit in between . Do not cut through .
  4. Mix all the spices under spice powder .
  5. Fill the spice powder in the paneer slit .
  6. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai, dip each paneer piece in the batter, a few at a time and deep-fry on a medium flame till golden .
  7. Serve hot with Chutney .
