Quinoa Kheer
Quinoa Kheer is a Indian fusion dessert made with the super grain Quinoa and milk . The grain is gluten free.

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Wash and rinse quinoa , soak it for 10-15 minutes .
  2. Drain and keep aside .
  3. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker .
  4. Add the drained quinoa and sauté for3-4 minutes .
  5. Add 1/2 cup water and pressure cook for 2 -4 whistles .
  6. Let the pressure release and open the pressure cooker.
  7. Quinoa should be well cooked .
  8. Add milk and cook on simmer till the milk has reduced 1/4.
  9. Add sugar and cook for another 5-7 minutes on slow flame.
  10. At this point you could minus sugar and add 2-3 tbsp of condensed milk .
  11. Remove from fire and add vanilla essence .
  12. Serve hot or chilled.
  13. Garnish with almonds .
