The Sinful Chocolate Cake

Day 2 under Christmas Dinner and I could not miss a cake .I would have loved to make Christmas Cake , but I already have two versions of it. Cakes have  always been  a must on Christmas when the girls were here . In fact we all were so fond of cakes that we either got one or made one . We just needed an excuse to eat cakes . With passing time everyone has become conscious and we avoid sweets . Juhi is the youngest and still very young so once in a while we do indulge into these treats . We do not want her to get over conscious at such an early age .In fact this cake has been baked by her, I just stepped in at the last minute to add those toppings and click pictures.

She scaled down the recipe to half . The recipe followed is of the basic chocolate cake , from Gayathri ‘s blog  , with a variation by adding a biscuit base to it . The cake turned out absolutely delicious , really spongy . The Hershey’s spread gave a Nutty taste and the kisses just added on to sinfulness .Talking of Hershey’s I have a real sinful pudding with it which is a total hit.

  1. Kudos to Juhi! The cake looks so soft and spongy. And so very CHOCOLATEY. Love the way you’ve decorated it – I too find topping cakes with chocolates and cookies the easiest and kids love them so much.
