Anarkali Salad is a simple , quick , healthy and delicious salad with its main ingredient as Pomegranate which is also called Anar in Hindi language . The salad gets its name Anarkali from Anar .
There is no set rule regarding the ingredients going in in this salad , so one can vary the quantity as per taste. The salad has a basic dressing with salt , sugar and lemon juice , but this mild dressing helps to retain the natural flavours of the ingredients . I am very fond of green chilly and like it’s sharp taste , the after effect of the tiny chilly is mind blowing . You could omit or use the non spicy variety .
I made this salad for the Zero Oil Thali and it was a great hit . Now if you guys are wondering about Zero Oil Thali well check it out . Seriously this is one Thali where not even a drop of oil has been used and yet the complete meal tastes awesome . For now here is the recipe of Anarkali Salad .
