Custard and Jelly Dessert is a classic dessert which is one of the simplest and easiest desserts one can ever make.
Two different desserts combine to make this classic dessert, which is a fuss-free, egg-free dessert which tastes wonderful and looks colourful and can be served in many ways.
The Jelly is made with the instructions on the packet and this brand works quite well with us. Each brand might have different instructions, so please read the instructions mentioned on the packet you are using.
I made the jelly in a rectangular tray, and in separate jars. So that I could serve in different ways.
Custard is a silky smooth milk dessert. The main ingredient to it is cornflour which helps to make it thick. It is available in various flavours, but it is the vanilla flavour which is hot selling and very versatile. One can make so many desserts with this custard and trust me each and every dessert made with it is delicious.
Today’s dessert is made it in two different ways, for the first one I set the jelly in a rectangular dish, poured the custard in bowls and later added jelly cubes. For the second one, I set jelly in jars and then poured the custard. These are two different desserts made with the same ingredients and they both taste different, only because of the serving style.
Jelly and Custard is a dessert which is a favourite with everyone, especially the kids. The wobbly vibrant jelly makes the dessert very inviting. Jelly and Custard is my Day 2 post under the theme Colourful Foods.
