Date and Nut Choco Orange Ladoo

Date and Nut Choco Orange ladoos are delicious sugar free ladoos made with dates , nuts , cocoa and candied peel . They have a citrusy orange flavor..

I made these ladoos a few months back when I was traveling to Chennai .These ladoos were meant to be my signature ladoos . The Fruit and Nut Ladoos . I roasted the nuts and chopped the dates and then realised that these were being made for Valli and Veena . I immediately changed the recipe and decided to use cocoa powder to these , I know Valli’s love for chocolates , even her kids they want everything with chocolate . It was only after I met Veena in Chennai that I knew she is not very fond of chocolates !

I added some candied peel and orange flavouring to these ladoos and while tasting the mix for these ladoos I realised that the candied peel tasted divine . I actually love candied peel and specially the one I get from Amsterdam . It has a amazing flavour . Fortunately my stocks is refilled as I have a nephew in Amsterdam . Valli will tell you guys as to how these ladoos turned out . To finish up I rolled the ladoos into vermicelli and nut powder .
