Kit Kat Cake

Kit Kat Cake is a cake where the cake is surrounded by a wall made from the famous brand of chocolate Kit Kat.

When we look for a Kit Kat Cake we find chocolate cakes surrounded by kit kat chocolate and the cake is like a well filled with M&M’s Today’s cake has a wall of Kit Kat, but I didn’t fill any M&M’s.

It was my sis in law’s birthday and we decided to make a cake for her. Juhi baked the cake but didn’t wait for it to settle and as a result, the cake cracked in the centre. She smartly set it up and frosted the cake. As she finished, she realised that cake was falling apart. The girl was upset and I had to go for rescue, but the cake had already fallen apart.

What do we do? Bake another cake was the solution, but I decided to work on this cake itself. I took a silicone mould and lined it with a cling wrap. We put the cake in a large mixing bowl and crumbled it. This mix was very gooey as it had ganache and caramel both. We put this mix in the mould and then sprinkled some cake crumbs on the cake, and some chocolate chips. The cake was put into the freezer for a few hours.

Next day morning I removed the cake from the mould, but I was not happy with its shape. We had to take as a gift and it didn’t seem appropriate, so I baked another cake, keeping this aside.

Next day we were hosting a dinner and since it was not very formal, I decided to serve the chocolate cake as dessert. We fixed bars of kit kat all around the cake and let it set. Finally, the cake looked right to serve. After dinner when the cake was served, the knife slipped in and I was able to cut good slices. As for the taste, it was simply awesome, the caramel and ganache both had made the cake moist and gave a delicious, sinful taste. We were happy that the cake was really appreciated and no one could make out that this cake actually was a failure.
