Ladoo Besan Kaju ka is a traditional Indian sweet made with Bengal gram flour and Cashews. It has a dash of cardamom which adds on to this rich and exotic sweet.
L for Ladoo Besan Kaju ka! This my pick for the alphabet L for the A to. Z series under the theme Pick one Indian State and make Three. The A to Z series makes you sharp, one starts thinking in a different manner. Ideally, I would call this Ladoo as Besan aur Kaju ka Ladoo, but since I had to pick the letter L, I had to twist the name.
A few years back, I used to wonder how does a person make ladoo – I was always fascinated by them, but never had the courage to make them myself. It is the blogging world that inspires you and teaches you. I have to give credit to Priya Srinivasan who had posted a simple ladoo recipe that motivated me. Ever since there’s has been no looking back. When it comes to Ladoos, Suma and Srivalli are experts too! I truly love their innovative as well as traditional ladoos.
This Ladoo is made just like a besan laddoo, where the besan is roasted till golden and aroma is released, thereafter cashew powder, sugar, cardamom are added. So instead of adding nuts, we add powdered cashews, this changes the taste and trust me the ladoos become really rich and super delicious.
Since I am a fan of Ladoos now, check what I have been making –

I was also wary of making ladoos for a long time, blogging changed that for me too. The addition of cashews must impart a really good flavor.. I have quite a lot of Besan at home now, maybe I can give this a try sometime soon!
Looks very festive and addictive. Cashew powder definitely makes it a richer one.
Thanks for the mention and I am surprised or shoild I say shocked that you were weary of laddu preparation once. The cashews are a nice addition to besan laddu and bet they make it more tempting and tastier.
hahaha I really can’t say why you ever thought you couldn’t make ladoos, anyway all your ladoos turn out great and not to mention the way you planned..these ladoos look so sinful!
