Mattar Paneer is a Indian curry made with fresh green peas and cottage cheese cubes. A simple yet very flavourful curry which can be made in different versions .
Mattar Paneer is a regular feature in our house . I make different versions , but doubt if I have posted any of them . Today’s version is a Rajasthani version and my Rajasthani friend has made it . The gravy is made with onions and tomatoes but the ratio of these is what makes the difference . The Paneer cubes have been fried and immersed in water which makes them very soft . I really can’t say what makes it Rajasthani but my friend claims that most Rajasthani ‘s make it this way . Perhaps it is the slight touch of ghee that changes the flavour, which truly is amazing .
Now off to the recipe with a promise of posting different versions of this soon .

Never get bored of this irresistible combo, wish i get few rotis to clean that alluring dish. Fingerlicking goodness.
hahaha, I guess there is no longer a boundary to dishes getting over to other cuisines. This is how I make and can’t say from where I picked it up..:)..the dish though looks amazing..drooling over the thali all over again.
Just an amazing combo with a couple of chapathis and a hearty meal is done!
