Raajma Paalak
Kidney beans or Raajma is high fat free protein,high in fibre and low in cholesterol.With a combination of greens and cheese it adds on to its nutrition.Here is a recipe which is full of proteins and vitamins.
1 cup…………………..raajma
1 cup…………………..spinach(finely chopped)
¼ cup…………………..cheese
¼ cup…………………..milk
¼ cup…………………..onions(finely chopped)
1tsp…………………….ginger-garlic.green chilly paste
1tb sp …………………..oil
1tsp……………………..cumin seed
¼ tsp……………………turmeric(optional)
¼ tsp……………………red chilly pwd
¼ tsp……………………garam masala
Salt to taste
Heat oil in a pan.Add cumin seed.
Roast the onions.add ginger garlic paste.Sauté for a min .
Add spinach..roast till shrinks a bit.
Add raajma n cheese n spices.
Toss a little add milk.Simmer a while.
Garnish with cheese.
This is my Indian version,which can be enjoyed with roti or parathas.
Now to make the same into conti version simply omit red chilly turmeric n garam masala.
Add more cheese…ok.if u r health freak..use cottage cheese and don’t forget to add some extra garlic n pepper is an absolute must!!a crisp slice of toast…n u r ready with a wonderful healthy meal!!
