Kutchi Cone Chat is a chat from Kutch , Gujarat. The chat is in the form of a deep fried cone , which is stuffed with a spicy potato mix , along with chutneys and masala peanuts.
I love to travel , and when I do so I make sure to explore the local and street food of that place . On one of my trips to Kutch , Gujarat we were in Gandhidham . This is a small town , but has some amazing food joints . The locals are Kutchi Sindhis , which is a mix of Gujarati and Sindhi’s. The local cuisine is mostly Gujarati , but sindhi foods like Dal Pakwan are quite popular .
Dabeli , the Ice Dabeli , both are Kutchi street foods and yes the Vada Pav , its different , it is served with Mirch ke Pakode . They do have the routine street foods but the Cone Chat is something that is unique . The base is a cone , which is made of flour , which is filled with layers of spicy potato mix , chutney and masala peanuts . Finally it is garnished with fine nylon sev , peanuts and pomegranate . The spicy cone surely is a burst of flavors . Each bite has something different to offer !
I have used ready cones from Kutch , but we do get a cone mould and these can be made at home too . My Mil used to make these , i will get a mould and then share the recipe soon .

Recipe Notes
This cone chat looks beautiful Vaishali. Love your presentation as always.
Omg, such a lovely dish, my mouth is just watering looking at the picture. What are the cones made of? I mean with what naem are they sold in market.
Wow! That is such an amazing street food. I would love to have some ready made cones :)The typical chat related chutneys and the potato mix definitely elevate this chaat. Beautiful and temptingly presented.
These are few of the reasons that I miss living in India so badly. I am a big time chat lover and this cone chat is killing me in the morning itself. So delicious and I can eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Those crispy cones are the highlight of this dish and I am drooling over this chaat.
