Ragi Cookies are healthy , gluten free cookies and can be enjoyed by toddlers and adults as well .

Chocolate chips for garnish
Preheat the oven to 180 deg C for 10 minutes .
Roast the ragi flour for a few minutes till the rawness from the flour goes .
Sieve the ragi flour baking powder and salt together .
Add brown sugar to the butter and mix well till the sugar has completely dissolved . You can powder the sugar like I did.
Add vanilla essence .
Start adding the sieved flour mixture and form into a dough adding milk little by little .
Put the dough in a bowl , cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes .
Line a cookie tray with parchment paper.
After 20 minutes remove the dough from the refrigerator and make small balls .
Flatten these balls and arrange them on your prepared tray .
Garnish with chocolate or nuts and bake at 180 deg C till the cookies are brown at the bottom .
Remove the cookies , they would be soft .
Let them come to room temperature and they will turn crisp .
