Baked Veggies & Pasta

Baked Veggies & Pasta is a one-pot meal with veggies, pasta, white sauce and red sauce, topped with cheese it is baked to a perfect golden.

  • 11/2 cups mixed vegetables boiled
  • 1/2 cup penne pasta boiled
  • Cheese grated

White Sauce

  • 8 tablespoons butter
  • 8 tablespoons all-purpose flour/wheat flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup cheese + 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Dash freshly ground black pepper


White Sauce

  • Add butter to a pan.
  • As soon it melts add the flour.
  • Roast till the flour turns a little brown.
  • Gradually add milk and whisk constantly.
  • Add 1/4 cup cheese, let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add salt and freshly milled pepper.

Assembling the Dish

  • Grease an ovenproof dish.
  • Add the boiled veggies and the pasta to the white sauce.
  • Pour the sauce with veggies into the dish.
  • Grate and spread cheese over the pasta.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 deg C for 20-25 minutes.
  • Serve hot with garlic toast.
