Baked Veggies & Pasta
Baked Veggies & Pasta is a one-pot meal with veggies, pasta, white sauce and red sauce, topped with cheese it is baked to a perfect golden.
- 11/2 cups mixed vegetables boiled
- 1/2 cup penne pasta boiled
- Cheese grated
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 8 tablespoons all-purpose flour/wheat flour
- 4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup cheese + 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Dash freshly ground black pepper
Add butter to a pan.
As soon it melts add the flour.
Roast till the flour turns a little brown.
Gradually add milk and whisk constantly.
Add 1/4 cup cheese, let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add salt and freshly milled pepper.
Assembling the Dish
Grease an ovenproof dish.
Add the boiled veggies and the pasta to the white sauce.
Pour the sauce with veggies into the dish.
Grate and spread cheese over the pasta.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 deg C for 20-25 minutes.
Serve hot with garlic toast.
