Amaranth & Nuts Ladoos

Amaranth and Nuts Ladoos are healthy , nutritious and delicious , perfect for any festival or In kids lunch box or you can even carry them while you travel .

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp ghee
  • 1 cup Rajgira ke atta / Amaranth flour
  • 1/2 cup Pistachios chopped
  • 1/2 cup almonds chopped
  • 12 -16 tbsp. powdered jaggery
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Heat a pan and add ghee.
  • When ghee melts, add amaranth flour and toast it on low flame until you start to smell the aroma, about five minutes.
  • Lightly roast the pistachios and almonds , keep them aside to cool.
  • Mix all ingredients in a blender , so that they come together . This can be done by mixing with hands too .
  • Transfer the ingredients onto a plate or bowl.
  • When the mixture is cool enough to handle, shape them into balls.
  • Shape the laddus when the mixture is still warm.
  • Garnish with almond flakes .
  • Let them cool and store them in an airtight container.
