Cooking Rice in a Rice Cooker

Cooking rice in a rice cooker is one of the simplest ways to cook rice . If a 10 year old is guided even he / she can cook this basic rice . Cooking rice in a rice cooker gives you perfectly cooked rice - just perfect each grain separate , no lumps , no sticky rice .

Ingredients

  • 1 cup long grained rice
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil / ghee

Instructions

  • Wash the rice very well and soak it for 30 minutes .
  • Drain the water and add the rice to the rice cooker .
  • Add water , salt and fat to the rice .
  • Insert the bowl into the cooker .
  • Cover the pot and plug in the switch .
  • Out the rice cooker on cook mode .
  • Once the rice is cooked it will automatically switch off and turn to warm mode .
  • Open the rice cooker carefully and check the rice , it would be fluffy , nutty and each grain would be separate .
