Dahi Pakodi

Simple pakodis are made from chick pea flour, which are soaked in water and finally dunked in whipped curd.

Ingredients

Pakodi

  • 1/2 cup chickpea flour
  • 1/8 tsp red chilly powder
  • Salt to taste

Dahi

  • 1 cup whipped curd
  • 1/8 tsp red chilly powder
  • 1/8 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Add red chilly powder and salt to the flour and bind a soft batter, consistency of pakora .
  • Heat oil .
  • Add a teaspoon of hot oil into the batter and mix well .
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and deep fry till golden .
  • Drain on a kitchen towel .
  • Immerse them in water for 10 minutes .
  • Whip the curd and add red chilly powder , cumin powder and salt .
  • Add 1/2 cup water and mix well .
  • Gently squeeze out the water from the pakodis and add them to the whipped curd .
  • Garnish with coriander leaves .
