Double Chocolate Muffins

Double Chocolate Muffins are soft and spongy muffins , with a double dose of chocolates which makes a super delicious dessert.

Ingredients

  • 11/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp coffee powder
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 11/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • Chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Sieve maida and cocoa twice and keep aside.
  • Cream sugar and curd until sugar completely dissolves.
  • Add baking powder, baking soda to the creamed mixture . Mix well .
  • Leave aside for 5 mins and you can see the bubbles appearing.
  • Add vanilla essence,cooking oil and mix well.
  • Add the flour mix in portions at a time and blend with wet ingredients.
  • Beat well with a whisk until creamy and thick.
  • Coat the chocolate chips with flour and add some to the batter .
  • Preheat oven to 180 deg C for 10mins. Meanwhile grease a butter paper, lay it in the cake tin or loaf pan or grease muffin moulds , place a liner and pour the batter .
  • Sprinkle more chocolate chips over the top .
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes or till a skewer comes out clean .
  • If making a cake then bake in preheated oven at 200 degree C for 10 mins, then reduce temperature to 180 deg C and bake it for 30-35 mins or till a fork inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • Let cool to remove from moulds .
