F - Faryali Sabudana Khichadi - Street Food Style

Faryali Sabudana Khichadi is made from sago pearls , potatoes , crunchy peanuts . It is spicy and slightly sweet street food of Gujrat .

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sago washed and drained
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 3/4 cup potatoes boiled small cubes
  • Salt to taste

Other ingredients

  • green chillies
  • Sugar powder to taste
  • garam masala
  • lemon juice
  • Aloo chivda
  • coriander leaves
  • pomegranate pearls

Instructions

  • Combine the sago and ¾ cup of water in a deep bowl, mix well and keep aside to soak for 2 hours.
  • Heat oil in a non stick pan and add cumin seeds.
  • As soon as the seeds crackle , add the potatoes, sago and salt .
  • Mix well and cook on medium flame for two minutes .
  • Let cool.
  • Now take a bowl add a portion of the sago khichadi, green chilly, powdered sugar , garam masala ,and lemon juice .
  • Mix well .
  • Remove in a serving bowl.
  • Top with Aloo chivda, coriander leaves .
  • Finally garnish with pomegranate pearls .
