Home made Namkeen

Home made Namkeen is a mixture made with puffed rice , poha , peanuts and some other crunchy ingredients . It is slightly spicy with a tinge of sweetness .

Ingredients

  • Kurmura
  • poha
  • peanuts
  • Potato straws
  • Cornflakes
  • Daalia
  • leaves curry
  • green chillies
  • whole coriander seeds
  • fennel seeds
  • red chilly powder
  • turmeric powder
  • sugar
  • salt

Instructions

  • Warm a teaspoon of oil , add a pinch of turmeric and add kurmura .
  • Mix well and roast till crunchy .
  • Remove and keep aside .
  • Similarly roast the poha .
  • Mix it into the kurmura.
  • Dry roast the peanuts .
  • Deep fry the chopped green chillies and curry leaves .
  • Heat a tsp of oil and add whole coriander seeds , fennel seeds , daalia . Roast till you get a delicious aroma .
  • Switch off the flame and add the dry spices including salt and sugar .
  • Immediately add the roasted kurmura , poha, peanuts , cornflakes and the potato straws .
  • Add the fried curry leaves and chillies .
  • Give a few good mixes to the namkeen and it is ready to eat .
