Matar ki Kheer
Matar ki kheer is a milk-based Indian sweet. It is a unique kheer where fresh green peas are used . Cardamom and rose petals take the kheer to another level.
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1/4 cup fresh green peas
- Sugar as per taste
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
Garnish
- Pistachio chopped
- Rose petals fresh or dried
Coarsely grind the peas.
Heat ghee in a pan and saute the peas till the raw smell disappears.
Always roast in slow flame to retain the freshness.
Add milk and cook till the milk has reduced to a little less than half.
Add cardamom powder and sugar.
Cook for another 3-4 minutes and then transfer the Kheer into serving bowls.
Garnish with chopped pistachio and rose petals.
Chill before serving.
