Mun Thod / Thai Sweet Potato Cakes
A very pleasing Thai sweet potato cake with sweet, salty, spicy and tangy flavors.

- 250 gms sweet potato boiled, peeled and mashed
- 125 gms potatoes boiled, peeled mashed
- 1 tbsp coriander leaves
- 25 gms toasted coconut
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp all purpose flour
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2-3 green chilly
- 25 gms sesame seeds
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
Boil the sweet potatoes and potatoes .
Peel and mash them.
Heat a tsp oil and fry garlic and green chilly , add to the mashed potatoes.
Add chopped coriander, toasted coconut , soya sauce, lemon juice , salt and pepper .
With lightly floured hands , form the mixture into small balls .
Flatten these and roll in sesame seeds, make sure the seeds stick well .
Shallow fry till light and golden .
