Munnakkaya Masala Kura

Ingredients

  • 2 pieces drumsticks cut into 2"
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • Salt to taste

Paste

  • 10-12 cashews
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp coconut grated
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • Water as required for making the paste

Instructions

  • Heat oil . Add cumin seeds and curry leaves .
  • Add onion and sauté till light brown .
  • Add the drumsticks, turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt and one cup water.
  • Cover and cook till the drumsticks are 50% tender.
  • Add the prepared paste and half cup water .
  • Mix well and cook till the drumsticks are done .
