Grease the counter of your platform and place a bowl of water before you start making the brittle
Lightly roast the nuts , cut them into halves .
Heat 1 tsp oil in a nonstick pan .
Grate the jaggery and place it in the pan on slow heat .
Let it melt , while it melts , stir continuously , or it may burn .
The jaggery should turn golden and thick.
Test check by adding a drop in the bowl of water .
The ball should be hard , brittle.
Add the roasted nuts , cardamom powder and saffron .
Mix well and immediately bring it down on the greased counter .
Quickly wet your hand and bring together the lump .
Using a greased rolling pin roll the brittle .
Using a pizza cutter make incisions .
Let set and then break into pieces .
