Rahaa / Black Eyed Beans

Rahaa is a Sindhi name for black eyed beans or what we call Lobhia in Hindi .This is a zero oil recipe and tastes delicious with just two spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Lobhia / Rahaa / Black eyed Beans
  • red chilly powder
  • dry mango powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Wash and soak the beans overnight .
  • Pressure cook with salt for 2 whistles .
  • Let the pressure release and then open the cooker .
  • Check if done.
  • Drain the excess water and use it as stock for curries.
  • Sprinkle red chilly powder and mango powder over the beans and mix well .
