Stuffed Bread Pakora with Aloo Sabzi

Stuffed Bread Pakora wit Aloo Sabzi is a deep fried bread fritter served with a potato curry. This is a typical Delhi Street Food.

Ingredients

Bread Pakora

  • 2 slices Jumbo bread
  • 1 slice Cottage Cheese

Batter

  • 1 cup Besan
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pinch Cooking Soda
  • Water as required
  • Oil to fry

Stuffing

  • 2 Potato boiled, mashed
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1-2 Green chilly chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chilly Powder
  • 1/8 tsp Chaat Masala
  • Coriander Leaves chopped
  • Salt to taste

Aloo Sabzi

Instructions

Batter

  • Seive the besan, add red chilly powder, salt and mix well.
  • Gradually add water and make a medium consistency batter.
  • Add a pinch of soda just before dipping the bread slices into the batter.

Pakora

  • To make the stuffed bread pakoras, First boil potatoes. Peel and mash them.
  • Now keep a big slice of paneer ready.
  • Next heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan, as soon as it is hot and cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Let them crack.
  • Now add the boiled mashed potatoes , red chilly powder, chat masala, salt and finally coriander leaves. Mix everything very well. Remove from fire.
  • Divide the mix in two parts.
  • Spread one part of this stuffing on one slice and the other part on the second slice.
  • Now place a big slice of paneer on the potato stuffing, season it with salt and top with other potato layered slice.

Frying the Bread Pakoras

  • Dip the complete sandwich in to the batter and carefully slide it in the hot oil.
  • Fry for a few seconds then flip it, fry till crisp and golden.
  • Cut into triangles.
  • Serve with Sabzi or Chutneys of Chaat.
