Whole Wheat Chocolate Cookies

Whole Wheat Chocolate Cookies are made with whole wheat, butter and chocolate. The cookies have a crunchy exterior and a soft interior.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2-3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar powdered
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1-2 tsp milk

Instructions

  • Sift the flour , cocoa powder ,baking powder and baking soda.
  • Cream sugar and butter.
  • Add vanilla essence and mix.
  • To this mixture add flour and mix well, it shall have a bread crumb like texture.
  • Add a teaspoon of milk and make a dough.
  • If the dough is crumby, add few drops of milk .
  • Pinch out small balls and place on a tray tray lined with baking paper.
  • Flatten the balls and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degree C for 15 minutes or till the cookies turn golden brown around the edges.
  • Cool on a wire rack.
