Cakesicles

Cakesicles are a bigger version of cake pops. These are shaped like ice cream candy or a popsicle and a fun twist to cake pops.

  • 50 gms crushed Oreos
  • 100 gms ganache thick
  • 2 tbsp Nutella
  • 1 cup melted chocolate
  • Sprinklers for decorating

Instructions

  • Take a mixing bowl and add crumbled chocolate sponge.
  • Add crushed Oreos. You can add any other biscuits of your choice too.
  • Add thick ganache and Nutella.
  • Mix very well with your hands so that everything incorporates well.
  • Check the dough, it should form a ball.
  • It will separate if it has too much sauce, add more cake crumbs.
  • If it is dry add sauce or Nutella.
  • Place the dough in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Now take the cakesicle mould and using a fresh paintbrush, cover each cavity with melted chocolate.
  • Make sure the chocolate is not very warm, else it will not coat well. Keep tapping the mould, so the chocolate becomes uniform.
  • Let set for 5-7 minutes.
  • Now fill these cavities with the chocolate dough.
  • Press well so that there are no gaps. Place in the frig for 10 minutes.
  • Now insert the ice cream stick through the slot in the cakesicles mould.
  • Be gentle, and make sure you push up the stick till you reach 3/4 length of the cakesicles.
  • Now using a piping bag, coat the cakesicles with chocolate.
  • Refrigerate overnight for the chocolate to set.
  • Gently remove from the mould, by tilting the stick first and then pushing it upwards.
  • Now you can decorate with different sprinklers.
