Watermelon Mojito

Watermelon Mojito is a perfect summer drink that can be put together in just 5 minutes. It is cool and refreshing which gives instant energy.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Muddler

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cubed Watermelon
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  • 12-15 Mint Leaves
  • 3-6 Lemon Wedges or Slices
  • 1/8 cup Lemon Juice
  • 500 ml Club Soda / Sparkling Water
  • Ice Cubes

Garnish

  • Lemon Slices
  • Mint Leaves
  • Watermelon Wedges

Instructions

  • Place chopped watermelon in a blender jar and purée. If you wish you can sieve it. Set aside.
  • In a jar or a glass, muddle together mint leaves, lemon slices and sugar.
  • Divide the mix into four tall glasses, add watermelon puree, lemon juice and ice cubes.
  • Add lemon slices and gently pour the club soda.
  • Give a stir and garnish with mint, watermelon wedges and lemon slices.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy! Mojito can be made with other fruits like Lemon, Strawberry, Passion Fruit.

Notes

  • Always use a sturdy glass while muddling the sugar, mint and lemon wedges.
  • While muddling make sure to twist the muddler so that the juice from mint and lemon is released.
  • You can skip sugar to make it sugar-free.
  • You can replace sugar with Maple Syrup. Cane Sugar, Honey or artificial sweetener.
  • You can add Rum to convert the drink from a non-alcoholic to an alcoholic drink.
