BM # 5 Day 2
This is a classic summer cooler, loved by all. Very traditional and refreshing.different from our regular nimbupani.
Tried and tasted recipe from the book “100 Best Smoothies & Juices”
Here’s what you need …
150 ml……… water
1tsp………… grated lemon rind
6tbsp ………….sugar.
125 ml……… lemon juice
How to go about…
Put the water sugar and the grated lemon rind into a small sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Stir constantly.
Boil for 5 minutes.
Remove and cool to room temperature.
Stir in the lemon juice.
Transfer to a glass jug.
Cover with cling film and chill for 2 hours.
Serving style…
Take 2 glasses.
Rub the rim with lemon wedges.
Dip then in granulated sugar to frost.
Put 2-3 ice cubes in the glasses.
Pour the lemon syrup, top with sparkling water.
1 part syrup and 3 parts water.
Stir well and plunge in some lemon slices.
Garnishing…
Garnish with a lemon or a sweet leme slice.
