Happy Birthday Sunny….!!.This is for you….with loads of love and wishes….
It’s been a long time now since I made Birthday cakes for the children…all grown up ..and with such lovely eggless cakes in the market…just gave up making them at home…well this time just felt like making something for my dear sunny …n here I am with this Black Forest Cake.I don’t like the typical cherry look on the cake so just used crumbled cake on the edges and some pure magic biscuits..n ofcourse those cute little heats!!
1cup……….….wheat flour
11/2 cups…….maida
11/2 cups…….milk
11/2 cups…….curd
¾ cup………….oil
11/2 tsp………..baking soda
11/2tsp……..…coffee
½ cup………….cocoa
Sieve the dry ingredients
Mix the wet ingredients.
Mix the two.
Bake at 180deg for 30 mins..or till done.
Icing
Whip the cream with vanilla essence and icing sugar .
Cut the cake into two and moist it with cherry syrup.
Spread a generous layer of cream.
Top with pitted cherries and some choclate pieces.
Cover with the other half.
Cover the cake with whipped cream.
Edge it up with crumbled cake.
Sprinkle some crumbled cake on top too.finishing up with some biscuits ,silver balls and tiny hearts!!
You can say on the Birthday Eve…so here you are with a slice of the cake…just to check it’s texture…the cake turned out real soft and my family loved it.
