Singdana Ladoo is a Ladoo made with peanuts and jaggery . The ladoo does not have any ghee as the oil released from the peanuts helps in binding them . It’s a simple Ladoo made with two ingredients , the Ladoo is full of protein and very quick to make .
We do a lot of traveling and ladoos is one of my favourite foods to carry . It keeps you full and is a life saver while you are at the airports . No mess , eat one of these and you are good for a couple of hours .
I made these ladoos for the Protein Rich Maharashtrian Thali and fell in love with these . Frankly I have never been fond of jaggery and always substitute it with sugar , this time I didn’t . Seriously , I was so glad I didn’t , the ladoos tasted awesome and I realised that actually it is my mind block which made me substitute to sugar .
There’s no hard work involved in making these Ladoos if you have roasted peanuts . In case the peanuts are raw then it takes sometime to roast the nuts and remove their skin . The process can be done in advance too . The ladoos have a good shelf life of fifteen days , more if refrigerated , but trust me they will be gone much before that .
I did not add any other nuts but if you wish you could add some , I garnished these with black currants .

Singdana Ladoo
Ingredients
1 cup roasted peanuts
1/3 cup jaggery powder
Method
Add peanuts to the mixer grinder and pulse till coarse .
Add the jaggery powder and pulse again .
Always pulse in short bursts to get the perfect result.
The mixture should be almost fine and should hold the shape while forming Ladoo.
Remove in a plate and pinch out small balls and form ladoos .
Garnish with black raisins .
Notes:
If you do not have roasted peanuts you could roast the peanuts in a nonstick pan .
Roast on slow flame , stirring often .
After the nuts are roasted let them cool .
Rub off their skin between the palms of your hands and blow it away .

I always roast peanuts and keep them handy to use in curries but more often, both of us end up eating them as a snack. Sometimes I mix peanuts and/or roasted sesame and jaggery. When I don’t have jaggery, I mix it with brown sugar. So these laddus are my kind of food and I am sure the laddu tasted awesome.
Just with two ingredients, singdana ladoos looks absolutely tempting and prefect to carry while travelling. Fantastic laddoos there.
I have prepared this ladoos before.. Seriously they are so yummy and healthy.. Just two ingredient will make all the wonders..
Hi Vaishali,
An interesting ladu especially for fast. Will definitely try it especially since it has just two ingredients & looks easy to make and very tempting too.
Lovely clicks and thanks for sharing the recipe.
Best Wishes

wow hard to explain how amazing the ladoos are looking di.. Just two ingredients and such a yummy dish. Wonderfully stacked and presented..
My eyes were riveted to The thali . OMG! I am amazed at the variety there! Love the peanut laddu.
They look seriously good and best thing is there is no ghee added. I on the other hand loook to substitute sugar with jaggery – I love the flavour from jaggery. And for the umpteenth time I am saying – may be i say this for all the thalis I have seen here – I love your thali spread. Someday I shall too cook such an elaborate meal. surely someday!
Love these two ingredient recipes. I do have few mind blocks for certain ingredients. Glad you were able to come out of it and add jaggery for this one.
I love this two-ingredient peanut ladoo and can have it anytime. Every time I see your thali and it makes me drool.
I am the opposite. Jaggery adds intense flavor than sugar and I prefer it over sugar.
Initially I did not realize singdana was peanut. 🙂 I know they taste awesome. Sometime i add coconut or sesame seeds as well to these laddus but the basic version tastes awesome too.
I love jaggery more than sugar and am always partial to sweets which have jaggery. This laddu looks so good. Btw, could you please link this and the other posts on this them to the Kids’ Delight event? The details for linking can be seen in my announcement http://luvgoodfood.blogspot.com/2018/03/kids-delight-announcement-travel-food.html
