B M # 5   Day 3

All time favorite breakfast!!A traditional English breakfast of beans on toast has been Americanised with the burger. My children have always enjoyed these.I keep making variations in these. Sometimes I add small pieces of tofu or paneer in the stuffing…you cud even add some mushrooms….  and at times when I am short of time I use a mix different cheese instead of the cheese sauce.
The variations are many…..absolutely your choice!!

Stuffing…..

1cup………………..baked beans(ready tinned)
2 tsp……………finely chopped garlic
2tsp…………….finely chopped onion

¼ tsp……………oregano
¼ tsp……………chilly flakes
Heat butter in a pan add garlic sauté till pink.
Add onions sauté till translucent.
Add baked beans ,sauce and the herbs.

Cheese sauce

½ tsp…………..flour
½ cup …………milk
¼ cup………….cheese

Garnishing

Assembling
Scoop out the buns.apply butter.
Fill up with beans stuffing.
Pour some cheese sauce.

Microwave for 10 secs .
And yes those scooped bun pieces…don’t throw them…process them to bread crumbs.
Or if u have a dog..just a bit of tofu and these scooped pieces with some butter will be his special meal.(my dog is a fan of breads with butter.)

  1. Agree with Harini above – a very interesting and healthy variation to the burger ! Do we need to use only burger buns, or even the normal sweet buns would do ?

  2. Appreciating the time and effort you put into your website and in depth information you present.

It's great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the same out
of date rehashed information. Excellent read! I've saved your site and I'm including your RSS feeds to my Google account.
