It was our last day , we quickly got ready as we had to vacate the villa by 9 am . Once ready we placed our luggage placed it in a corner and left for breakfast .
Minerva restaurant is a typical South Indian Restaurant with super breakfast . I ordered a oil free Rawa Masala while the Pessarattu was the most sought after , as its a Hyderabad speciality . Priya Suresh was sitting opposite me and I loved her smile while she slathered the butter lavishly on her Dosa . I don’t think I have ever done that on a dosa, mine is always fat free !!
After the breakfast we were back to villa , only to pick the luggage and move on . Ruchi and I were staying a day longer and my relatives came to pick our baggage . We then left for Shailaja ‘s place , who is Usha’s co sister in law . The house was pretty far and I took a good nap in the car . On reaching Shailaja ‘s house we got a very warm welcome from her . The house was a beauty and all white , it looked so serene and beautiful .
The food served was an authentic Telugu meal . It was a beautiful spread and each and every dish was very well prepared and presented . I wish I could remember the names . After coming back I called Shailaja to thank and also asked her to share the recipes at leisure . We have to cook for April BM Thalis .
The khubani ka Meetha stole my heart . I had two helpings and seriously felt very guilty ! It was really really good . Thanks Shailaja ! Words are not enough to convey our gratitude and thanks . You really went out of your way to host us !
We all sat there chatting , and the amount of entertainment we had is hard to explain . Priya Suresh from Paris ! Well girls I will not open all cards , but it’s an unforgettable afternoon .
It’s hard to bid farewells but well that’s how life is , everything has to come to an end – only to begin soon again ! The girls left for the airport .
Ruchi and I left with Amaara for shopping , then to her place where her mom and mil made some crunchy delicious pakoras . She served some Sheer Kurma too . I was so full from the lunch that I could not do justice .
Amaara dropped me at my relatives place and Ruchi at her friends . I was meeting these relatives after almost 25 years , though we have been in touch on FB , but this felt real and emotional . They had a party at home and had prepared authentic Hyderabadi bhagara baingan and paneer , but I could not eat even a single bite . My stomach just couldn’t take any food !
The next morning we spent some quality time with family and then all went to Chutneys for brunch. Chutneys is one of the most popular restaurants there . We had some idlis and uttapam . Back home we quickly packed our bags and left for airport . On the way my cousins got Biryani packs and some authentic Andhra sweets for us .That reminds me look at these goodies that were brought by all.
Ruchi and I knew we had excess baggage and that our friends had suffered due to this . I went up to the counter and made some friendly conversation , result the charm worked ! They took all our baggage – about 8 kg excess baggage without charging !
Once the baggage went we were at ease and bought some biscuits and sweets at the airport .
Ruchi’s brother picked us in Ahemedabad and through out the way we were jabbering about the meet ! It surely was a wonderful one and trust me even after two weeks , I am in my own trance . I keep watching pictures and videos and laugh by myself . People around me wonder ! Well this was an event where Valli and I had worked hard and I am glad all went well and we all had so much fun .
Some Kodak Moments !!
My sincere thanks to all the friends who participated , without each one of you the meet wouldn’t have been complete . It was beautiful meeting some new faces –

Simply beautiful Vaishali. You really took time to write a fantastic post. Even after a month, the memories are fresh and lingering. You are a charmer and naturally the airport guys had to agree. They wont have realised what hit them hehee. Thank you vaishali for all the push and support you give.
