BM # 5 Day 7
One hears of chutney sandwich….grilled toasts…but this chutney toastie is really exceptional.Try it out and I am sure you will love it.Looks very ordinary but the taste is what matters.Everyone in our family enjoys it and since the ingredients are always there it makes an ideal breakfast or a evening snack. It gets ready in just 5-7 minutes! So here is what you have to do……..
Apply butter on two slices of bread.(choose a multigrain to make it healthy)
A generous layer of chutney.
Make a sandwich and roast on a nonstick gridle.(roast on either side)
Pour masala water first on the edges and then in the centre .
Drizzle oil on top.
Flip over gently.
Again pour water and drizzle oil in the same manner.
Once again flip it over.
(make sure all the masla water is absorbed.)
……it’s ready!!
for one toastie you will require about 1/4 cup water….but also it depends on how soft the bread is…so be careful.
Salt
Red chilly pwd
Dhania jeera pwd
Aamchoor pwd(lemon juice will also do)
Pinch haldi(optional)
The masala water is absolutely upto your taste. If you want it spicy add more red chilly pwd …and if more khatta then more aamchoor pwd.
Personally this is one of my favourite and I make it nice and spicy .Now if you guys are wondering ……which cuisine?……well this belongs to a Universal cuisine…where all regions get together and make this world a beautiful place to live in!!
