Sai Bhaji Koftas are koftas or deep fried dumplings made from the popular Sindhi dish SaiBhaji . Sai Bhaji is a mix of veggies , greens and lentils .
We have some very popular combos which are made very regularly , Sai Bhaji Bhuga Chawara , Sindhi Aaloo is one of them . This meal is made at least once a week . There are times when we make this combo and Juhi and I want to eat something from outside . With Zomato , Swiggy and Uber Eats life has become easy – you just feed the dish on your phone and your food is delivered within a short time . Those are the days when we have leftover Sai Bhaji ! So we either make Sai Bhaji Tikkis or make Sai Bhaji Koftas .
These Koftas are actually very delicious and I love to use my air fryer for all the food which actually needs frying . Air Fryer helps to cut down the guilt . Right ? Coming back to Koftas , all you need to do is dry the cooked Sai Bhaji and add some herbs and spices , make it into a ball . You have the choice to deep fry , air fry or use a paniyaram pan to roast these . You can add them to the gravy of your choice , though I have made a onion tomato gravy .
You can serve these Koftas with roti , Paratha or some Biryani too . At times when the koftas are done , they just disappear in minutes and they taste absolutely fantastic even without the gravy ! So I put the ball in your court , you decide how you want to serve them .
Sai Bhaji Koftas are my Day 1 post under the theme Regional Side Dishes.

Last year I noticed how easy it has become to order food in India!! Kofta curry looks good but I think I would prefer eating the kofta as is or sai bhaji tikki. Regardless, it is a cool way to use up left over Sai Bhaji.
Zomato and Swiggy has made take out so much easier!! That platter looks very delicious and so well presented.
Yes Zomato and Swiggy are there for those last minute hunger pangs, but nothing like a well made home meal, right ! this double dhamaka of sai bhaji in a kofta form is so intriguing & inviting 🙂 !
Wow! That is such an interesting way to use up the leftovers.
This dish is surely super duper delicious Vaishali. Very nice to know the creative way of using leftover curry. We are still away from ordering and I seriously don’t even know how to order. I know its funny…heheh
Wow! These koftas are awesome Vaishali. Using leftover sai bhaji to make these koftas is a brilliant idea. With some sauce at the side, these would make a perfect evening snack.
