Beans Paruppu Usili is a Udupi side dish made with beans and lentil dumplings . The dish is simple , with minimum spices yet has a fantastic flavour .
I made Beans Paruppu Usili for the Protein Rich Udupi Thali. After steaming the dumplings , I got hooked on to them . They tasted awesome and I just couldn’t stop nibbling on these . Once the dumplings are ready and beans boiled it is a breeze cooking the dish .
This is the first time I was eating a Udupi Spread and I fell in love with this Satvik cuisine , which uses no onion , garlic . I have observed a no onion no garlic meal gets done in a jiffy , no more crying no more strong odours ! But at the same time I must admit that my everyday cooking requires loads of onions and garlic .
Back to Beans Paruppu Usili , do try it , I am posting this under the theme Regional Cuisines from a Country .
