Gobhi Patata

Gobhi Patata is a Sindhi version of Gobhi Aloo . This is a deep fried version of cauliflower and potatoes , but trust me one that you will love and will not stop eating.

Sindhi’s have always been very fond of fried food and we all know that fried food is tasty . I agree it is not healthy to eat fried food and we all are slowly changing our food habits and cooking methods . We are substituting deep frying by using airfryer , and the airfryer results are excellent . For today I wanted to give you the authentic and traditional style in which we Sindhi’s made this side dish . Since it is deep fried it stays good for a day without being refrigerated . There is one more version of this fried Gobhi Patata which is the favourite of my son and daughter in law . I shall definitely be sharing that too .

Yesterday we spoke about zero oil and today about deep frying , what a contrast ! While we are taking of fried food let me give you some more authentic fried dishes from Sindhi Cuisine. Well I will work on these and try and give you the low calorie or Zero oil versions very soon, for now it’s fried food.

  1. Gobhi and patata are such delicious combo for a sabzi. This dry sabzi looks very inviting di, loved the fact that they are air fried , your zero oil thali will always be a milestone to mark di, that is something amazing.

  2. You have tempted us with the thali for the past 2 days and I have been drooling over and over the same pictures 🙂 This sinful version of aloo gobhi sounds yumm.

  3. I too make this version of aloo and gobhi by frying but add onions and galric too. This one looks simple but I am sure must have tasted delicious.

  4. I guess once in a while it is ok to indulge in deep fried food, specially when it is aloo gobhi and when it tastes amazing when deep fried. Will wait for your zero oil version of this recipe.

  5. Hi,
