Tawa Mithai

My Day 3 post under Tawa Recipes is Tawa Mithai.

Tawa Mithai’s are very popular at functions and weddings . These Mithai’s are normally served during winters when one likes to eat piping hot desserts. They have live counters and a big tawa is decorated with a variety of sweets ranging from Barfi to Ladoo to Rasgullas and gulajamuns. A big bowl of rabdi is kept aside. The tawa Mithai is customised and while ordering one has to give your choice of mithai which is crumbled and mixed with a few tsp of rabdi . The mix of crumbled Sweets is laced with the rich rabdi on tawa and finally served to the guest .

For the tawa Mithai I have used store bought mithai ‘s . In fact all these sweets were at home , I just made the rabadi. The finished product , the tawa mithai has a burst of different flavors and a bowl of this mithai tastes fabulous in winters. The next time you have a assortment of Mithai’s at home do give it a try .

  1. Tawa mithai has become so popular these days and whenever I attend a party in India, this is my go to dessert. Good on for this theme.

  2. Awesome one Vaishali. Since I am not too into sweets, I never actually bothered to check those counters, your post has surely enlighted me..very nicely presented! Enjoyed the theme..
